Ford produced only 535 2020 Ford Mustang Shelby GT350R Heritage Edition cars. These were part of a limited run and finished in Wimbledon White with Guardsman Blue side stripes and racing stripes. The 1965 Shelby GT350 Competition model inspired the design. Powered by a 5.2-liter Voodoo V8 linked with a Tremec six-speed manual transmission and a Torsen limited-slip differential. The 5.2-liter Voodoo V8 features a flat-plane crankshaft along with dual overhead camshafts, variable valve timing, an engine oil cooler, and a commemorative plaque that displays the signature of the engine builder. Factory-rated output was 526 horsepower and 429 lb-ft of torque, sent to the rear wheels via a Tremec TR-3160 six-speed manual transmission and a 3.73:1 Torsen limited-slip differential. Additional coolers for the engine, transmission, and differential were standard. The Heritage Edition Package specified Wimbledon White paint with Guardsman Blue side and over-the-top racing stripes as well as front and rear exterior badges also finished in Guardsman Blue. Additional features include HID projector headlights, a carbon-composite front grille, a functional hood and fender vents, a front splitter with the Shelby logo, a carbon-fiber wing, LED taillights with sequential turn signals, and quad exhaust outlets. Black 19″ carbon-fiber seven-spoke wheels are mounted with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires. The R-specification suspension features a MagneRide damping system, and braking is handled by two-piece brake rotors with Brembo calipers at all four corners. The cabin features Recaro sport seats trimmed in Ebony cloth and Miko suede with red accents. The Alcantara-wrapped steering wheel frames a 200-mph speedometer, a tachometer with an 8,250-rpm redline, auxiliary gauges, and a central multi-function digital display. Additional gauges for oil pressure and oil temperature are mounted in the center stack. The rear seat is omitted on R models, and equipment includes a 12-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system, blind-spot monitoring (BLIS), a rearview camera, dual-zone automatic climate control, cruise control, and a touchscreen infotainment system with voice-activated navigation.
