It had been 50 years since the first Shelby GT-350H was built for the Hertz Corporation and Ford decided to celebrate the 50th year with a 2016 Ford Shelby GT-H Edition The Hertz Shelby Mustang was known as a Rent a Racer. The Hertz licensees had to qualify based on annual volume with car purchases and were given a ticket that went into lottery. The franchises that had a winning ticket got an opportunity to purchase a Shelby. The Shelby?s would be put into a rental fleet however some were held back. There were only 171 GT-H editions made in 2016. This is one of the last cars built and was never put into the rental fleet. The car originally came out of Arkansas Hertz.
