Right off the assembly line, this 5th generation Mustang was an impressive muscle car - aggressively styled and plenty quick with a 420hp 5.0 liter V8. At some point in the last 13 years, one of these car's owners had a craving for even more power, though, and they added a twin-turbo kit from On 3 Performance. In late 2024 the car received a Calimer Stage 3 transmission and a Vengence Stage II clutch - a combination commensurate to the significantly higher horsepower added by the turbos. As you'll soon discover, those aren't the only cool modifications and upgrades bestowed on this ride. To top it all off, this beast of a Mustang has a mere 34,316 actual miles on the odometer and a clean CarFax! Let's dig a little deeper into this very speedy Pony..... This Mustang GT comes to us dressed in it's factory coat of Deep Impact Blue Metallic, still in high driver quality condition thanks to the low mileage and garage storage. The only noticeable imperfections are just small rock chips, mainly on the lower front fascia and the rockers. Ford restyled the front end of the GT for 2013, incorporating the grille and air intakes from the 2010-12 GT500's - giving it a seriously aggressive look. The hood features two sets of functional heat extractors that add to the muscular feel. The black honeycomb grille features LED fog lights and a gleaming pony at the center, flanked by HID headlamps with crystal-clear lenses. Moving around to the side of the car, you'll find body-color-matched dual side mirrors and door handles. The very blue sides are accented by tinted windows with black trim, bright 5.0 fender badges, and red Brembo calipers that peek through a set of black SVE wheels with polished rings. The wheels are staggered, with 18's on the front and 17's on the rear to allow for some big meaty rear tires. The rubber comes from Mickey Thompson - Sportsman S/R's up front (26X6) and ET Street R's in back (P305/45 R17). This Mustang also comes with a set of 5 double-spoke 19 factory wheels wrapped in Michelin Extreme Contact tires. Around back there's a single-piece decklid spoiler, iconic sequential LED taillights, and a set of chrome exhaust tips. The factory blacked-out rear decklid panel with faux gas cap has been deleted, leaving the area blue and contributing to the monochromatic theme of the car. Lift the hood to find an engine bay that will get any muscle car fan's heart beating faster. At the center is the original factory 5.0 liter 32V DOHC Coyote V-8 topped with a black engine cover with bright 5.0 call-out and upgraded aluminum valve covers. On either side of the engine is a turbo unit from On 3 Performance, a specialty turbo manufacturer in Sunbury, Ohio. The turbos are a tight fit and were obviously installed by someone capable of doing the project right. According to On 3 Performance, the twin-turbo's should put the horsepower rating of this car well over one thousand, yet you can still drive home from the track in normal traffic with the A/C blowing cold - impressive! Mated to this powerhouse of an engine is a Calimer Stage 3 MT-82 6-speed manual transmission with a Vengeance Stage II 26-spline clutch. This is an ideal combination for extreme horsepower Mustangs that are driven on the street as well a on the track. The twin turbo kits run around $5K (not including installation) and the transmission upgrade was almost $7K two years ago - that's a serious investment that has resulted in a seriously fast car! Other highlights under the hood include a silver Mustang GT shock tower brace, power steering, power 4-wheel disc brakes, and factory A/C. Not surprisingly, the exhaust has been customized as well, with shorty-style headers leading to 2 ½ straight pipes in an X-pipe configuration.
