2002 Ford Thunderbird The first Thunderbird rolled off the assembly line on September 9, 1954. This 11th Gen 2002 Thunderbird honors those classic roots. The 11th generation model was based on Ford's 'DEW' platform, used worldwide on mid-sized models. Handsome 2-Owner Thunderbird w/Hardtop- This 2-owner, totally original 2002 Thunderbird roadster is a beautiful example of a modern luxury sports car. The exterior is finished in Whisper White and accented by 17 factory polished spoke alloys that mount Cooper premium radials. The black leather interior is in very good condition. The Thunderbird has two tops - a removable fiberglass hardtop and a power assisted soft-top. Convenience/safety features include dual front/side airbags, climate-controlled A/C, power tinted windows, tilt/telescopic wheel and power locks. Additional features add 6-way power driver seat/2-way power passenger seat, power locks, keyless entry, cruise, anti-theft and a premium AM/FM/CD sound system w/6-disc changer. Ford/Jaguar 3.9L V8 - Gen 1 Thunderbirds were powered by 292/312ci 'Y-Block V8 engines, but this 2002 T'bird is powered by a Ford/Jaguar 3.9L fuel injected V-8 that produces 280bhp @ 6,000RPM. The high-revving engine is an all-aluminum DOHC design with 4-valves per cylinder and is backed by a 5-speed/AOD automatic transmission and Traction Control differential. The chassis is equipped with variable-assist power steering and ventilated ABS disc brakes. This is a very handsome Thunderbird to pamper and enjoy.
