1997 Ford F350 XLT Long Bed 4x4 Pickup When strength meets style, legends are born, and the Ford F-350 is no exception. Crafted by the venerable American automaker Ford Motor Company, this powerhouse of a pickup truck has etched its name into the annals of automotive history. Born in an era when trucks began to symbolize not just utility but also lifestyle, the F-350 emerged as a symbol of rugged American work ethic combined with a desire for comfort and performance. metrommp.com For consignment, a 1997 Ford F350 XLT long bed 4x4 pickup truck showing 115,532 miles, but the true miles are unknown due to exemption. This truck hails from the West coast and is in great shape. So good that its second owner bought it back to become the fourth owner. Exterior Last of the OBS, the square body here is coated in an attractive Oxford White with two stage coverage that has all the signs of a well cared for ride. Perched on 16-inch wheels and LT rated 75 series tires, there's a wide to the wheel opening and entry is aided by side steps at each door. Big gaps in the chrome grille vacuums incoming air and what's missed heads over the long flat hood, up and over the cab flanked by trailer mirrors. Chrome bumpers bookend the long truck and a solid rear window looks out over the bed which has sprayed liner and signs of usage but is undamaged. Imperfections include rock chips on the rocker panels and fender, scratching on the door sill, other various chips and scratches and some of them are touched up. Interior Opening the door, we're met with Ford's rather elaborate combination of gray materials including vinyl, plastic, and carpet on doors that have two storage bins built in, courtesy lights, armrests, and integrated speakers and both doors present cleanly. The cloth seats are in nice shape too with a middle seat doubling as an armrest when not occupied. Contrasting black features begin with the steering wheel and the dash surround where black faced gauges use white needles in a basic configuration that is tidy in its analogue simplicity. An AM/FM/CD player is in the dash middle over a three dial A/C panel while carpet is protected by rubber mats and the fleece-like headliner and visors are in great shape, completing our tour of this clean interior. Drivetrain The bay is a busy place, housing a clean 460ci V8 with fuel injection and mated to an E4OD 4-speed automatic transmission. Power is routed to the Ford Sterling 10.25 rear axle and the Dana 60 in front, both with 3.55 gearing. Undercarriage There's surface rust and typical metal oxidation but otherwise nothing of note underneath where things are relatively clean and dry. The single exhaust flows through a stock style muffler and finds an exit behind the right rear wheel. Power brakes are on board as front disc and rear drum and leaf springs are used for suspension front and back. Drive-Ability We climb on up to this heavy duty F-series and put the 460 to work on the test loop where it pulls well, tracks straight, and brakes on point. The cabin is simple and comfortable and affords a birds eye view of the road. Meanwhile, all functional items on this built tough beast operate as they should and it's on to the truck room for this useful ride. While Classic Auto Mall represents that these functions were working at the time of our test drive, we cannot guarantee these functions will be working at the time of your purchase. Work trucks are synonymous with the car hobby. You're going to want to tow your car to a show occasionally, pick up barn finds, haul parts, hit the race track, and so much more. If you've heard the complaints over newer trucks and their engine issues, (cam sensor, anyone?), you'll understand why these older trucks are in high demand. Easy to use, easy to work on, and easy on the eyes! 1FTHF36G5VEB03125 1-USA F-Ford Motor Company T-Truck H-8,501 To 9,000 GVWR F36-F350 4wd Standard Cab G-7.5 Liter EFI V8 5-Check Digit V-1997 E
