1974 Pontiac Trans Am PHS-Documented, Numbers-Matching California Car 1974 Pontiac Trans Am offered for sale, purchased new at J.M. Wildman, Inc. in Paso Robles, California. This PHS-documented, numbers-matching example left the factory finished in Admiralty Blue with a black interior. It comes with PHS documentation, restoration photos, assorted records, and a clear California title. The factory numbers-matching engine was reportedly rebuilt during its restoration and has seen light to moderate use since. It starts easily and runs strong, with plenty of power and no hesitation. The automatic transmission shifts smoothly through the gears, and the braking and suspension feel tight, giving the car confident road manners. Overall, this is a very comfortable and easy-to-drive Trans Am with strong performance. The car left the factory finished in Admiralty Blue and was refinished during its restoration in the slightly metallic orange you see today. The paint presents very well, with a straight body, no rust evident, and nice overall trim. It has an excellent stance and sits on Cragar Super Sport wheels wrapped in Cooper Cobra Radial G/T tires (P235/60R15). The tires show approximately 80–85% tread remaining and, while date-coded 2014, remain in good, usable condition. There are minor signs of use over the years, including a few small chips and touch-ups, but overall the car shows very nicely and has strong visual appeal. The interior is comfortable and inviting and remains in very good condition overall. During the restoration, the door panels, carpets, and soft trim appear to have been replaced, and they continue to present well with only light to moderate use since. The car is equipped with a modern retro-style sound system featuring Bluetooth and streaming capability, making it an enjoyable car for longer drives.
