Used 1971 Datsun 240Z

This 1971 Datsun 240Z was purchased new by a doctor in Los Angeles, who later sold it to the proprietor of Charland Auto in Burbank, and it was stored from 1981 through his passing in 2002. The car subsequently joined the Malamut Auto Museum, and the current owner acquired it from that collection in 2017. The car is finished in Monte Carlo Red over black vinyl and powered by a matching-numbers 2.4L inline-six paired with a four-speed manual transmission. Work performed during current ownership has consisted of installing steel wheels with early Series I covers, a cleaning and re-lining of the fuel tank, completion of a valve adjustment and replacement of the thermostat, brake booster, soft fuel hoses, and more. The car was displayed at the Quail in 2018 and won the FIVA preservation award.
