Message from the seller

Few cars ever made can elicit such an immediate reaction as this 1973 Volkswagen Beetle. Fully repainted in this captivating tan exterior, this classic 'people's car' sports upgraded clear fender turn signals, and along with its new paint, has been the recipient of a new motor and new interior by its current owner. Inside, we find a nice, clean red vinyl-and-cloth interior courtesy of Sew Fine. A pair of bucket seats sits in front of a two-spoke steering wheel. The minimalist dashboard's highlight is a single 90-mph speedometer, while simple HVAC controls make it easy to keep your eyes on the road. Prop up the rear engine cover, and we find a clean engine compartment featuring a new, horizontally opposed, air-cooled 1600cc four-cylinder engine. A single-barrel carburetor feeds this flat-four, while a stock-style exhaust manifold expels spent gases. That power is then channeled through a traditional four-speed manual transmission, then through the VW transaxle and onto the rear wheels. HIGHLIGHTS: * Full Tan Repaint * Clear Fender Turn Signals * New BAP 1600cc Flat Four * One Barrel Carb * VW Transaxle * Four Speed Manual * 15in Steel Wheels * Drum Brakes * New Sew Fine Interior * Red Vinyl and Cloth * Lots of Receipts * Owner's Manual Sitting on a factory-style suspension, this 1973 Volkswagen Beetle rides on 15-inch steel wheels, while drum brakes stand ready to scrub off speed whenever necessary. Owning a Volkswagen Beetle also comes with a plethora of instantaneous smiles and waves from onlookers and passersby.
