Used 1966 Oldsmobile Toronado

24,955 Original Miles! 1966 was the first year for the Toronado and first front wheel drive. This car was owned from new until approx 2018 by one owner in Amherst WI. I was acquainted with the original owner after meeting him at the Iola Car Show in the mid nineties. He spoke about the car he bought new but wouldn't entertain selling it. I assume that he passed away and the car went to the 2nd owner in 2018 who performed a number of maintenance items related to long term storage. The items that I can see are new tires, master cylinder, all 4 wheel cylinders, some brake lines and hoses, r/f axle, front shocks muffler and tailpipes, belts, hoses, I assume the fuel system and carburetor were gone through and general tune up. This car is somewhat sparsely optioned, it does not have air conditioning which wasn't unusual for central WI in the sixties. It has it's original 425/ 385 hp v8, tilt steering wheel, power seat, AM radio that works, and titnted glass. This car runs and drives great, it shifts smoothly, drives and stops straight and is free from squeaks and rattles. It has most of it's original paint which presents well but some checking is present on close examination as well as some chips and light scratches. The original cloth interior is immaculate with the exception of the 'built in' drivers floor mat has shrunk. There is some pitting on the taillight bezels and front grille trim. Enough said, this is probably one of the nicest "Original' 1966 Olds Toronados around, not perfect but very nice original.
