Raised bumpers and headlamps ensured the new car met increasingly stringent safety standards in the US. The hood handle’s size was increased for ease of use while front vent windows increased passenger comfort. Redesigned rear seats and a new steering wheel refreshed interior styling. Larger brakes and updated motor options ensured performance was plentiful as well. In addition to the standard coupe and cabriolet body styles, the 356 B was also offered in a number of alternatives such as the Roadster and, as the car featured here, 'Notchback' coupe. Produced for only two years, the 'Notchback' was initially produced on T5 cabriolet bodies with a roof in the style of the hardtop welded in place. For 1962, the 'Notchback' was updated to the T6 body with the rest of the lineup. Offering greater rear-seat headroom and unique style, the 'Notchback' is fondly remembered for its special place in Porsche history and have become increasingly valuable to investors and enthusiasts. The investment-grade 1962 Porsche 356 B 1600 'Notchback' Coupe featured here is finished in stunning Champagne Yellow over a Black interior. This beautifully restored 356 B was formerly in the collection of famed Porsche collector, Tommy Trabue, and is now ready for its next caretaker. This is a rare opportunity to own a piece of Porsche history that very few will ever experience. We are proud to offer this exquisite example of one of the rarest variants of the 356 to the most demanding collector, investor, or enthusiast who desires to own an investment-grade example at an exceptional price!
