This is an original California car that we purchased from a long-term owner in Madera, CA. He originally bought the car in 1996 at 18 years old while still in high school and has owned it ever since. The car was repainted Irish Green in the 1990s. According to the previous owner, his father spent approximately $25,000 rebuilding the engine and transmission about 10–15 years ago; however, there are no receipts available. The vehicle has been sitting in their garage for the past five years before they decided to sell. It is powered by its original 1.6L engine paired with a 4-speed manual transaxle. The car retains its numbers-matching engine and transaxle, and we have the Kardex documentation to verify this. Mechanically, the car runs and drives well. The engine sounds strong, and the transmission shifts smoothly through the gears. Due to sitting, it could benefit from minor TLC, but overall it appears solid. The floors are in very good condition and have not been tampered with or undercoated. The VIN on both the chassis and the tag are clearly visible and untouched.
