Used 1962 Ford F-100

This 1962 Ford F-100 regular cab pickup spent much of its early life in California and is believed to have previously served with the U.S. Forest Service and later the Helix Water District. The truck was acquired by a private owner in 1980 and reportedly remained in storage for approximately 35 years before undergoing refurbishment in the late 2010s.
During the refurbishment, the 292ci V8 engine and column-shifted three-speed manual transmission were rebuilt, and upgrades included electronic ignition and power-assisted brakes. The current owner acquired the truck in 2021 and has since completed additional work including brake service, instrument refurbishment, and installation of sound insulation.
The truck remains a solid, honest classic with a great vintage work-truck look.

Exterior
The body is finished in green with a white grille and bumper and features yellow-lens driving lights. The bed has been coated with Rhino Liners spray-in bedliner for durability.
The truck presents as a driver-quality classic with patina and age-appropriate wear, including some paint flaking, scratches, dents, and faded tailgate lettering.

Wheels & Brakes
The truck rides on 15-inch steel wheels with polished Ford hubcaps wrapped in 235/75 Hankook Dynapro ATM tires. It is equipped with power-assisted four-wheel drum brakes. Recent service included front brake drum overhaul, new brake shoes, and replacement shocks.

Interior
The interior features a bench seat upholstered in brown vinyl along with green lap belts. A three-spoke steering wheel sits ahead of the body-color metal dashboard. A push-button AM radio is mounted on top of the dash (currently not functioning).Under current ownership the instrument panel and 100-mph speedometer were replaced, and the Stewart-Warner oil pressure and amperage gauges were rebuilt. Fuel level and coolant temperature indicators surround the speedometer.
The odometer currently reads approximately 4,000 miles (since gauge replacement; true mileage unknown).

Engine & Mechanical
Power comes from a 292ci V8 equipped with a single carburetor. The engine was rebuilt under previous ownership. Additional upgrades include:
