This 1960 Porsche 356B T5 is a Gramling, Karlsruhe Germany-delivered car with matching number engine and transmission, This Reutter-built 356 coupe was acquired by selling dealer/owner and stored apparently by previous owner from 1973 through 2024 before undergoing some reconditioning that was completed in 2025. Last registered in WA state in 1973. Odometer reads 23,730 miles and is believed to be original. The engine is claimed to have been rebuilt with no miles on rebuild. We see other evidence of engine being rebuilt. Heat Exchangers still have their labels on them from being purchased and installed decades ago. Previous owner disassembled the interior, exterior lamps, trim etc. Most of these electrical components are fitted to the car but not wired as buyer will most likely repaint this car. Ignition switch wired and starts on the key and runs well and idles evenly. Car shifts, and parking brakes is functioning to allow car to be driven on a transporter or moved short distances. Hydraulic rake system will require restoration. New door-to-body rubber seals, trunk and engine decklid seals to ber installed with minimal adhesive to facilitate buyer removal of these if car is repainted. Final Interior work is being completed this week, with new photos available. The car has been previously repainted in original Ivory color. Off-white primer has been sprayed on several areas of the body where bodywork will be required. Body panel and door gaps very good overall. Areas of the longitudinal panels had rust through from failure of the steel heater tubes that failed due to condensation, a common problem with 356s. We cut away damaged areas as shown in photos. All underbody panels believed to be original, and car will require typical 356 body restoration, although overall, a solid original, West Coast car. The car has black seats and interior panels and new, 356A /early B available “bright red” square weave carpet with correct, red cloth binding. The car is equipped with steel 15″ ventilated steel wheels, finned drum brakes, body-color bumpers with chrome overriders, dual Zenith carburetors, and a Blaupunkt AM radio. This 356B is now offered for sale by dealer with a workshop manual , factory trunk plastic protective cover, car cove and a clean WA State title. An Engine startup, brief test drive and walk around video is planned an will post YouTube link in this listing when available. Engine case stamping P☆87495☆ corresponds to a Type 616/2 flat-four that was produced for a 1960 Porsche 356B 1600 Normal The car is accompanied by a workshop manual, a tire jack, a battery maintainer, and a car cover. 1960 Porsche 356 T5 Normal Coupe Kardex Information From Factory Kardex / “Build-sheet/Specifications from Porsche Factory Decoding of Kardex VIN: 110729 Engine # 601967 Transmission # 35 535 Paint Code 6004 Light Ivory Interior Color: Black Build Date: Feb 23, 1960 Delivery: Gramling, Karlsruhe Car Owner: Walter Schallies, Karlsruhe-Durlach, near Mannheim Germany Address: Hans-Pfitznerstr. 2 Factory Installed Options: Radio.
