Message from the seller

$51,995 Cruisin Classics is excited to present to you this 1949 Ford F3 truck. This second year Ford Bonus- Built truck started it's life as an F3, but now has a 6 ½ ft. bed and sports F1 badging - and that's just the beginning of its transformation. Underneath, this truck has been treated to a Heidt's Mustang II front end with power rack & pinion steering - providing a much more modern and comfortable driving experience. The frame has been painted with Eastwood frame-coat and the inside of the fenders as well as the underside of the running boards have been treated with rubber spray-liner to protect against internal rock dings. According to the receipts we received with the truck, the restoration also included a new hood, bed & tailgate, and front fenders - almost $6K in parts alone. The truck was then finished off with a slick and glossy coat of black paint that looks fantastic in the light. Up front, you'll find a bulbous hood with a pair of chrome trimmed openings above a five bar chrome grille with integrated turn signal lights. FORD lettering shines above the grille and a chrome bumper gleams beneath. Flanking the grille are a pair of round halogen headlights in bright bezels. Between the hood and windshield is a working cowl vent and on the sides of the hood are vents with chrome trim accents. Moving around to the side of the truck you'll see chrome F1 and red & black Limited Edition badging, dual chrome side mirrors, and Ford step-plates on the running boards. The truck currently sits atop 5-spoke American Racing wheels all wrapped in Cooper CS5 Grand Touring tires, but it also comes with a set of red painted steel wheels and baby moon caps (should you like to change up the look). From the rear view, there's a small rear window (Ford enlarged the window in '51), a clear-coated oak bed with chrome dividers and tie-downs, a flush-mounted gas fill in the bed floor (for the new 17 gal. aluminum fuel tank), a tailgate with red Ford script and hidden stainless steel latches, custom bed-rail plugs with old Ford script, a chrome bumper, round aftermarket taillights, and dual flared exhaust tips with Ford logos. The look and stance of this cool Ford truck are so impressive that it was featured on the cover of the LMC catalog in 2023! Prepare to be impressed when you open the hood of this '49! The black engine bay is clean, organized, and full of premium parts and custom touches. There is white & red pinstriping on top of the black radiator cover and Money Pit script on the custom firewall cover. At the center is a 305ci V8 with an Edelbrock cam topped with cast heads, chrome Jegs valve covers, a black Jegs dual-plane intake, a 650cfm Edelbrock 4-barrel carburetor, and a finned oval Edelbrock air cleaner. Bright elements abound - like a polished aluminum power steering reservoir and radiator overflow cannister, stainless steel radiator hose, chrome water pump, chrome alternator and bracket cover, and braided lines for fuel, water, and brakes. Other extras include an Evil Energy fuel filtration system, electronic ignition, and remote battery posts. Keeping things cool up front is a newer radiator with a Derale pusher fan and a transmission cooler too. Mated to the smooth-running V8 is a 700R4 automatic overdrive transmission that sends power to the rear end via a 10-bolt rear axle with chrome cover. Exhaust flows through Headman headers and a true dual exhaust (with electronic cut-outs) before exiting the tips with a rumble that will always put a smile on your face. Stopping power comes courtesy of power front disc and rear drum brakes. It should come as no surprise at this point that the interior of this Ford has been paid the same amount of attention as the exterior and engine bay. To put it plainly, it's simply stunning! The black steel doors feature tan faux ostrich skin panels, black armrests, and original-looking handles and window cranks. The two bucket seats are dressed in black leather-look vinyl with diamond
